TideTalks are a monthly seminar series hosted by the 51±¬ÁÏ Marine Lab Scholars Program. These talks are designed to inspire and educate students from all majors and backgrounds about the curiosities and magnificence of the marine world.
This month Dr. Sönke Johnsen a visual ecologist and 51±¬ÁÏ Faculty member will present Hiding Nemo: Bioluminescence and Ultrablack Camouflage in Deepsea Fish. A brief mixer with refreshments will be provided at 7:40 pm in the lobby outside BioSci 111. The seminar will begin promptly at 8:00 pm and be followed by questions with the speaker. The seminar and question portion will also be livestreamed on the 51±¬ÁÏ Marine Lab Scholars YouTube channel.
